Frequently Asked Questions (and Answers!)

Just In Case You Were Wondering...

First, all answers are scriptural based and received by faith. They are not opinions nor a philosophical answer, but it is what God tells us through His Word.  In order for us to receive from  God's word we must respond in faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.  Further, the reader of God's word can not receive its wisdom nor blessings which are so freely put before us.  Faith is what activates the blessings of God, not mental gymnastics or intellectual rationalizations.  We do not put off our intellect because that is a gift of God, but we simply accept by faith.  Through faith, wisdom, knowledge and understanding is gained.

Dancing Before God - Psalms 149:3  Tells us that we are to praise His name in the dance and sing praises to him on stringed instruments.   The 150th book of Psalms speaks of praising God because of His Greatness and HIs mighty acts.  It further goes on to describe many different ways to praise God and to praise him with loudly.  We are not to be ashamed our worship, but rather we are to boldly and loudly proclaim His Glory and His greatness.

Lifting Up Our Hands - Psalms 63:4, Psalms 134:2, Lamentations 2:19 & 1 Timothy 2:8 all many scriptures that refer to worshipping God and the lifting up our hands unto God.  While we are still alive and have the ability, let us bless God by raising our hands and worshipping him.  Just a small child lifts his hands to his father when he wants attention from him and wants to love him, we, being the children of God raise our hands to express our adoration and our needing of Him.

Singing In The Spirit- Psalms 33:3 , Psalms 40:3 & 1 Corinthians 14:15, The bible tells us that we are to sing to God a new song. We are to create new songs out of our spirits to worship God in a new way. In other words, we are to use our creativity to worship God.  We are not use vain repititions or stale things in our worship of God, but we are to worship Him with the fresh things.

Laying On Of Hands & Anointing With Oil - Mark 16:18, Mark 6:13, James 5:14, Acts 9:17 & Acts 28:8.  The bible teaches us that blessings, healing, spiritual giftings and anointings can be released and transferred through the laying on of hands. Anointing is a divine suppernatural ability given of God to accomplish a specific task or work according to God's will.  He uses His chosen vessels to carry, impart and release these special gifts into the lives of ofthers.  The bible also tells us that believers can lay hands upon the sick and they shall recover.

Word of Knowledge - 1 Corinthians 12:8, ! Corinthians 2:11, 12 & 16, John 4:17, 18 & Acts 5:3. The bible tells us in the new testament that as believers, we have received the present in dwelling of the presence of God through HIs prescious Holy Spirit. The believer communing with God can hear the voice of God. Like a radio, believers can learn to hear the voice of God by 'tuning in' their spiritual hearing to hear Him when He speacks to us.  God speaks to us to tells us things beyond our personal knowledge in order to bring about healing, deliverance and blessings.

Speaking In Tongues - Acts 2:4, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:6, ! Corinthians 12:10, 1 Corinthians 14: 2,4,5, 13,14,18,22 & 39.  The bible tells us that we can communicate with God through a heavenly language. This heavenly language is such that only God can understand. However, through faith, God opens our understanding so that we can know what we are communicating.  It is our spirit speaking directly to God. The bible tells us that when we speak in tongues, it builds up our spirit and makes us stronger in the things of God.

Interpretation Of Tongues, Prophesy - 1 Corinthians 12:10, John 4:19, 1 Corinthians 14: 3-5, 13, 22, 24, 25, 31 & 39  The bible talks about spiritual gifts that are given to the body of Christ.  Interpretation of tongues and prophesy are just some of the good gifts that God gives His children.  Whenever tongues are spoken in a public assembly, the bible tells us that we are to believe for  the interpretation of the spoken tongue.  The reason for this is so that all may be edified and be blessed by the utterance instead of just one person.
